Traveling through the wild and mountainous area of Southern Lesotho is a real adventure! The area is perfect for exploring the culture, traditions and every-day life of the Basotho people in the small villages. You will also see dinosaur footprints and San rock art in the south. To the southeast lies the extremely remote and beautiful Sehlabathebe National Park, with amazing rock formations and sandstone sculptures, which offers fantastic hiking opportunities. Bordering South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains, Sehlabathebe can be accessed on foot from both the Bushman’s Nek in South Africa or through the Qacha’s Nek border crossing to South Africa.
