Alwar in North India

Just 150kms from Delhi and equidistant from Jaipur, Alwar nestles amidst a cluster of small hills in the Aravalli range. Also popularly known as the lquote Tiger Gatewayrquote to the historic and colorful state of Rajasthan, Alwar is a city carved out of the jagged, rocky Aravalli Hills where gruesome battles were fought. Marked by a number of structures of historical significance and with lakes and valleys thickly wooded in parts, Alwar has one of the finest sanctuaries in Rajasthan. A prominent, dramatically forbidding fort whispering tales of heroism and valor is perched atop of the Aravallis.
