Independent Trekking in El Chaltén

El Chaltén is a hikers paradise! With very well-marked trails leaving right from the small center of town, you can enjoy various day-hikes independently leaving right from your hotel. The hotel will have trail maps and experienced staff to give recommendations and organize for lunch boxes for the longer hikes. Favorite hikes include Cerro Torre (medium level trek) and Laguna de los Tres (difficult level trek) which leads up to the stunning lagoons at the base of Mount Fitz Roy. (Independent activity, no guide)
