Situated between Santiago and the Pacific Coast, the Casablanca Valley is home to Chile’s outstanding wines. One of Chiles newest wine regions, vineyards were first planted in the 1980s during the revitalization of the national wine industry. The viticulture is heavily influenced by the effects of the nearby Pacific Ocean with its cool morning mists and lower average temperatures, producing ideal growing conditions for white wines and Pinot Noirs. The valley is home to several internationally recognize wineries.
