Famously known as the ‘new home of flamingos’, Lake Bogoria is visited by up to two million migratory birds! The reserve is one of the few Kenyan parks accessible on foot and bikes, and plenty of wildlife, including leopards, zebras and hyenas, freely roam the territory. A saline lake that lies in the volcanic basin south of the Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria is surrounded by grasslands and bushes. A boat ride in the lake, a bird walk with experts, or cultural tours to the villages nearby, can be most enjoyable experiences. Don’t miss the hot springs on the western side of the lake.
