Ngorongoro Farm House is located close to the gateway of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This rustic colonial farm of 52 spacious en suite cottages is spread across a 15 acre coffee plantation and is decorated with charming local materials. With an organic garden, pigs, free range chickens, ducks, lambs and even dairy cows, you are immersed in the essence of gracious country living. Spend your time in the main house with its dining rooms, a bar, library and lounge complete with fireplace. There is also a swimming pool and craft shop. Outside of the lodge, experience walking safaris through a forest that leads to nearby Oldeani Volcano, or an excursion to nearby Lake Eyasi in the Rift Valley, inhabited by traditional hunter-gather groups. Visit Karutu village for a truly authentic cultural interaction.
Thought it would be my favorite place because I'm a gardener. Grounds were lovely. Lodge and deck beautiful. Our room was nice inside but in a dark wooded area. I got a little sick. Not sure if it was from the food or not.

A last minute change was made and the Farm House turned out to be one of our favorites.
