The bathtub!! Wow! I loved it. This place was the best way to spend our last two nights in India! We met the owner and the staff was great! The hotel was just stunning wherever you happened to wander. We really did not want to leave!

A very small breakfast area. The tea and coffee pots carried around by the staff only held sufficient liquid for one or two cups, larger pots would mean quicker service but lovely staff. Our suite was amazing and the staff member who looked after it was exceptional.

Great location, impressive looking. Dining on the roof was fantastic and we were catered for very well. Staff behind the desk were not helpful and a bit rude.

Americans love coffee from grounds-not instant. That is me. Beautiful hotel and setting. Fun to squeeze through the narrow streets and walk to the palace and temple. One of my fave places. Charming suite.

Kinda of a funky hotel, more boutique but again they upgraded us to the best suite as the electricity went out a few times.

What an amazing building. A little bit of construction going on, however, we weren't disrupted at all.

We were given a Royal Suite which was very pleasant. Breakfast was a little ordinary again.

This was an amazing experience, though not all perfect. After viewing the marble splendours of the monuments, it was surprising and exhilarating to be accommodated in a suite of rooms decked out in a similar decor: marble arches, lots of carvings, marble bath and vanity basin. Splendid....felt like Maharajas. The restaurant was understaffed with no sense of a working hierarchy. Breakfast was somewhat chaotic, with the poor chef putting his life on the line trying to cook dosas and omelettes on seriously unsafe gas burners, elements of which kept falling off and threatening to burn the poor fellow. The smell of sewerage did not enhance the otherwise splendid ambience of the hotel. ... upgraded room at beautiful hotel but extremely slow and inadequate service (wake up calls were not made); Temperature too cold to eat outside but no other option; "box breakfast" was poor

Lovely building, but the rooftop restaurant is suffering from too may people trying to fit into a limited space. Lovely rooms nd the garden setting is very restful.

A great location. A lovely hotel with a great roof-top view... especially for Diwali! We had a suite of rooms that was excellent. Unfortunately, we only ever managed a lukewarm shower.

Even though this property is undergoing extensive renovations and is a bit noisy in the front, we loved our rooms and got upgraded to a suite. This has never happened to me before. It was great!

Overall this was a good hotel. Our room was cute, and the rooftop restaurant was great! Also the owner was lovely and very helpful. Downsides: the pool was murky and we didn't dare swim in it. Also, the man at the front desk kept lying to us about there being a spa available - and kept misleading us. It wasn't until we spoke to the owner that we realised that there was no spa (which was not a problem for us), and that the man at the front desk must have been trying to book us in to somewhere he gets commission! ... Nice, but poorly run. Staff seemed confused about their role. Checking out I was asked about how much I thought I owed them because they could not find records.

Not up to the standard of Samode but it is quaint and spacious with a character of its own. Nice location. We enjoyed our stay there. One drawback--- no elevator in our part of the building and we happened to be on the top floor (fourth or fifth?).
