The legendary Trans-Siberian Railway is a vast network of train tracks stretching over more than 9,000 kilometers. It runs from Moscow in European Russia all the way to Vladivostok by the Pacific Ocean in Asia, traveling across seven time zones.

Experience the majestic diversity of the Russian landscape with the charm of a rail journey. Arrive at Moscow airport to a warm welcome and hotel check-in. On Day Two of your trip, visit classic Moscow landmarks, beginning with the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and Moscow University. Then take in scenic city views from the Lenin Hills and the artistic treasures of the Moscow Metro. After a delightful lunch, visit the Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Kremlin, ending with a stroll along the charming cafes of Arbat Street. In the evening, board the Imperial Russia train at Moscow and settle down in your comfortable cabin. Get to know your fellow travelers over a flavorful Russian meal in the dining car. Day Three welcomes you with a delicious breakfast onboard before you alight at the historic city of Kazan. Explore ancient monuments at Old Kazan and see the magnificent architecture of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Kazan Kremlin, as well as stunning views of the Volga. Later, savor the quintessential flavors and colors of Tartar culture with a culinary master class after which it is time to return to your train. Day Four brings in the vast spaces of the Urals and the industrial heartland of Yekaterinburg. Explore the city’s gritty history at the ‘Church on the Blood’, built at the execution site of the last Tzar and his family. After a lunch break, experience the thrill of being in two continents at the same time as you visit the obelisk that marks the Europe-Asia boundary. On Day Five, discover the myriad attractions of Novosibirsk, starting with the Trans-Siberian Railway Museum, right at the station. A relaxed lunch later, walk along the embankment of the Ob River to pass bustling streets and ancient squares, ending at the stupendous Ballet and Opera, the largest theater building in the country. Spend a leisurely Day Six in the train, taking in the beauty of the passing Siberian landscape or exchanging notes with your fellow travelers as you savor the three meals served on board. Continue with your Imperial Russia Train Adventure that connects the spectacular Russian landscape with the magic of rail travel. On Day Seven of your Trans-Siberian journey, arrive at Irkutsk where magnificent historic monuments sit alongside quaint wooden homes typical of Siberia. At the Decembrists’ Museum, learn of the tragic uprising of exiled Russian aristocrats. After lunch, check out the Open-air Museum Taltsy that showcases traditional Siberian ways of life, along the picturesque Angara River. Bring the day to a close with a walk through the historic district of Irkutskaya Sloboda and a sumptuous dinner before you return to your train carriage. Day Eight brings you to Baikal, the deepest lake in the world. Hop onto a motor ship to sail to Listvyanka, explore local flora and fauna at the Baikal Museum. Later, head to the Chersky Stone lookout for breathtaking views of the lake and the Angara River. Drop by a local restaurant to relish a freshly cooked lunch followed by a colorful stroll through the fish and souvenir market. After a lakeside barbecue dinner, return to the comfort of your train cabin for the night. On Day Nine, wake up to a delicious onboard breakfast before you hit the sights in Ulan-Ude. Experience a traditional Buryat welcome at a local yurt and savor the spiritual ambiance at a datsan or Buddhist temple. Discover Buryat culture as you don traditional attire, cook an authentic ‘pozy’, play dice and watch a live folk performance before heading back to your train carriage. Spend Day Ten and Eleven looking out on the eastern landscape as you enjoy the onboard hospitality. On Day Twelve, discover the cultural treasures of Khabarovsk including the Museum of Regional Studies and a cruise on the Amur River. Later, try your hand at creating your own Matryoshka, the quintessential Russian nesting doll, after which it is time to hit another city restaurant for dinner. Arrive at the final destination of Vladivostok on Day Thirteen, where a city tour treats you to historic sites, picturesque bay views from a boat or birds’ eye vistas from a hilltop. After a delightful lunch break, enjoy an excursion to Russky Island followed by a check-in and dinner at your hotel. Day Fourteen brings the curtain down on this splendid trip with a hearty breakfast and a comfortable transfer to the airport.
