Come on this trail and discover the history, culture and lifestyle of multi-racial Singapore. Drive past the financial and civic district to our first stop, The Raffles Hotel. This is where tradition holds that Sir Stamford Raffles landed in 1819. Next, take a walk to the Merlion Park to enjoy the impressive views of the Marina Bay area, head to the picturesque Fullerton Hotel, the Esplanade, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands hotel and the Helix Bridge. Next, stroll along the colorful streets of Little India and be dazzled by the hive of activities that permeates every nook and cranny of the area. Begin your tour amid the bustling lanes of Kuching’s Chinatown, observe the famous Cat Statue (Kuching means “Cat” in Malay), and amble over to the colorful TuaPek Kong Chinese Temple. Move on to Civic Centre Viewing Platform and the world-renowned Sarawak Museum. Walk past the gold-domed City Mosque as you pass through Old Kuching, known for its spice dealers and textile shops. The heritage buildings of the White Rajah era, including the Pavilion, Charles Brooke Monument, and the Post Office, bear testimony to the city’s rich colonial history. Day Trip To Bako National Park
Discover a gorgeous rain forest just an hour and half away from Kuching’s city limits. Your adventure begins with a longboat ride that takes you to Bako National Park. Home to several rain forest ecosystems, this tiny peninsula region is bursting with a veritable cornucopia of geological features, plants and wildlife! Bako’s distinctive coastline is worth exploring, as are its well-trodden jungle trails, forest-covered hilltops and quiet stretches of cloistered beaches. Bird lovers are sure to have a field day spotting the vast variety of exotic species. You can also watch Bako’s resident proboscis monkeys, silvered langur monkeys, long-tailed macaques and flying squirrels, among many other curious creatures. Sukau is a tiny fishing village and a rare pearl situated off the usual tourist track. Tucked along the Kinabatangan River, Sukau offers glimpses of Borneo’s rainforests and swampy marshland.

Explore the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center where you can admire a playful bunch of apes swinging from branch to branch. This center is home to orphaned and injured orangutans who are nursed and trained to re-enter the forest. The best view of these magnificent apes is from the feeding platforms, where animal caregivers feed them bananas and milk twice a day. Wander through the tall industrial trees in Borneo’s forest and experience its rich, tropical flora and fauna. Spend time at the outdoor nursery, where infant orangutans are taught how to survive in the wild. You will be chuckling away as you watch these hapless babies being taught to swing and climb trees. Stop by the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center, to observe the smallest bears in the world, which are native to Malaysia. Be enchanted by a stroll through the Rainforest Discovery Center, as you walk on canopy walkways and admire unique and exotic plants and orchid gardens. (Half Day; Private Activity & Transfer, Time of the day: Morning.Duration: 2 hr each; Fitness Level: Easy; please wear comfortable shoes. Two Night Program at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge, Sukau
Travel upstream on Kinabatangan River to peaceful Abai. Enjoy a simple, delicious lunch and cruise upstream to the rustic but comfortable Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge in Sukau. Afterwards, you can spend the rest of your day cruising along the Menanggul River. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars to spot wild orangutans, pygmy elephants and exotic tropical bird life. The following morning, rise with the sun for a refreshing cruise ride to Oxbow Lake, nestled amid scenic mangroves and dense jungle. You can choose to explore Gomantong Cave with its intricate formations and massive bird nests, or go on a trekking expedition through jungle trails. The sun begins to set as you coast along the river admiring natural wonders. Feast on a delicious dinner and video show at the lodge. After a good night’s sleep, it’s time to return to civilization. (Full Day, Fitness Level: Easy, Please bring comfortable shoes, binoculars, torchlight and insect repellent)

On your arrival at the Lahad Datu Airport, embark on a 2.5 hours’ drive, including 2 hours on a gravel track, to reach Danum Valley Conservation Area – a paradise of regenerated pristine rainforests. Once you have checked in to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge, set out on the Nature Trail and Canopy Walk to familiarize yourself with the area. The afternoon is spent at leisure with the promise of a sumptuous dinner followed by a thrilling guided night safari. On your second day, wake up to the call of the wild and watch hornbills fly as you trek to Kadazandusun/Coffin Cliff, an ancient burial site. Take a refreshing dip in a natural jacuzzi before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you can laze around, explore the jungle, or experience a tubing session down the river. After dinner, set out in search of nocturnal wildlife on another guided safari before a restful sleep. Begin your third day with an early morning trek or enjoy the mesmeric natural beauty around you from the comfort of your chalet.
