VERTICAL NATURE: BRIDGES & CLIFFS
CHINA
ZHANGJIAJIE GLASS
BRIDGE, ZHANGJIAJIE
Surrounded by massive quartz-
sandstone pillars that rise
dramatically from the dense
treetops of the Zhangjiajie
Grand Canyon, the Zhangjiajie
Glass Bridge is among the
longest and highest glass-
bottom bridges in the world.
Walking across its glass panels,
with views of an otherworldly
landscape below, is slightly
nerve-wracking but thoroughly
thrilling.
MOROCCO
HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS HIKE AND TRADITIONAL LUNCH WITH
BERBER FAMILY, IMLIL
Hike through the High Atlas Mountains near Imlil, where the journey is as much
about people as it is about the landscape. Trek past terracotta-hued stone villages,
walnut groves, apple orchards, and mountain streams, pausing to take in the beauty
of seasonally snow-dusted peaks, raw ridges, and deep valleys. Your reward is a
slow-cooked tagine, shared with an Amazigh family on a terrace, served with a side
of sweeping mountain views.
Enchanting Travels guest
Jack Merrill says:
We booked our first trip
with Enchanting Travels
last year. It was absolutely
fantastic, as advertised, with
truly professional service
that took all the stress and
planning out of travel. We
are now booking our second
trip for this year.
