Explore an ancient center of ceramicware! Kim Lan Village near Hanoi has been lauded by archaeologists as a center of ceramicware since the 13th to 14th centuries. Skilled artisans deftly turn the locally available clay into a beautiful products that are sold across the country. Begin your tour with a 15 minute boat ride to reach Kim Lan Village. At the peaceful village, meet a local researcher who will take you through the small ceramic museum. Meet and greet some local families and witness the traditional methods of creating ceramic wares. Learn more about the daily life in the village from the the friendly craftsmen as they go about their work. Stroll through the rest of the village which is surrounded by green vegetable gardens and enjoy the scenic countryside. Afterwards, cruise back to the comfort of your hotel in Hanoi.

Full Day Tour Of Hanoi With Cyclos Ride
Delve into Hanoi’s colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic lakes. Start at the historic mausoleum and former house of Vietnamese Communist revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh. Visit the beautifully designed lotus-shaped Buddhist temple of One Pillar Pagoda. If you wish to gain an overview of Hanoian culture and ancient architecture then you will be in for a treat at the Temple of Literature, whilst the Museum of Ethnology offers fascinating insights into Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups. Set sail into Halong Bay! Take a four hour drive from Hanoi to reach the jetty and take a boat to the Jasmine Junk. After your safety briefing, feast on a seafood lunch while cruising past limestone islands. Visit Tien Ong Caves, or take a bamboo boat ride to Halong’s oldest floating village at Cua Van. Back on the junk experience a Vietnamese culinary demonstration, unwind with a massage, and enjoy a cultural performance before dinner. Begin the next morning with Tai Chi before heading to a beach. Cruise back to Halong through picturesque Ti Top Island, Tam Cung Cave and Poem Mountain. Enjoy your brunch on board just before you arrive at Royal Park Pier around 1100 hours, before a leisurely drive back to Hanoi.

On a 1 night Halong Valentine cruise, visit Hanoi-Halong Bay-Hanoi. Board the junk at Halong Bay pier/Bai Che; check in, meet your crew, have a cruise safety briefing. Sail via the lovely Bai Tu Long Bay to Halong Bay; enjoy on-board massages; arrive at Luon Cave to explore. Board small bamboo boats rowed by locals or kayak past Dau Nguoi, Head Island, Con Rùa, Turtle Island, Cong Troi, Heaven’s Gate Island enroute to the cave. Back aboard, sail to Titop Island, swim/relax; climb steps to the islands scenic mountain top. Sail to Luon Bo; dinner aboard; enjoy films, board games, cards, even night squid fishing! Discover Hué’s imperial past of Nguyễn lords on a thrilling twenty to thirty minute cyclo ride that takes you to the tombs, pagodas and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Imperial City. Enter the main gate and witness a palatial world of magnificent architecture, landscaped gardens and ancient, intriguing stories! On the banks of Perfume River, visit the compelling seven storey tower of Thien Mu Pagoda, the city’s best-preserved religious monument. Drive for thirty minutes to the elaborate Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, which showcases an outstanding fusion of eastern and western architecture. Visit the serene Tu Duc Royal Tomb, which was built on feng shui principles and harmonizes with its natural environs. You can also stop off at an incense stick maker’s house!

Visit An Hien garden house (an important heritage in the lives of former Hue aristocrats), about 30min out of town, originally the residence of Emperor Tu Duc’s 18th daughter.
