Clearmont is a little town in Sheridan County, part of northeastern Wyoming. It was named after Clear Creek which once flowed through this region. While the name is all that remains of the creek, the town makes for a tranquil pit stop en route from the Black Hills to the Bighorn National Forest. North of Buffalo and east of Sheridan, Clearmont gives you a taste of what life may have been like in the Wild West during this region’s pioneering days. Baking under Wyoming’s legendary blue skies and lying in the midst of the windswept prairies, this is a classic one-street town. Much of Clearmont’s small-town attractions are lined along its old main street of Front Street.
