Jordan sees pleasant temperatures and sunny and dry days during spring, from March to May, and fall season, from September to November, making these periods the best time of the year for Jordan tours. These months are busy, but if you plan your travel during the shoulder months of March and November, you will experience great weather and face relatively leaner crowds.
Winters in Jordan can get quite cold, with rain, snow, and sub-zero temperatures in some parts of the country. Expectedly, it is not a popular time to visit the country. Jordan attractions such as Amman, Petra, and Wadi Rum, see temperatures in the 50s and low 60s, while the resort town of Aqaba experiences slightly warmer temperatures in the 70s.

Despite its desert-like and warm weather imagery, Jordan sees significant variations based on season and topography, and what you pack is based on when you visit the country.
If you are traveling during the popular spring and autumn seasons, pack layers that you can add or remove based on weather conditions. Take a warm layer such as a light jacket, sweater, and rain gear to account for differences in day and night temperatures.
Summer temperatures in Jordan can reach 100°F, so pack lightweight clothing made of natural fabrics such as cotton and linen. Winters in Jordan can get cold, wet, and even snowy, depending on where you are traveling to. Carry sufficient warm layers, including a good quality winter jacket, especially if visiting high-altitude destinations.
Jordan is a fairly conservative country when it comes to dressing. It is best to dress to cover your shoulders and knees. For women, short-sleeve and long-sleeve T-shirts, tops, flowy dresses, capris, jeans, or long pants work well. Short and long sleeve T-shirts and shirts, khakis, or linen pants are recommended for men. Western-style bathing suits are acceptable for the Dead Sea resorts.
