Organic Retreat

This camp is situated in the beautiful village of Hunder (9,300 ft), just 7 kms from Diskit, the headquarters of Nubra Valley, and is a 2 min walk from the famous sand dunes. Spread over 5 acres of lush green farmland and orchards, the Nubra Organic Retreat boasts of 22 well-equipped and tastefully done double bedded comfortable tents, with well-appointed modern facilities. The place has a serene setting with hundreds of nesting swallows and sparrows frolicking in the tall grasses. A thick population of apricot trees behind the tents makes it ideal for a wonderfully aromatic stroll. This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of cold desert with a glacier water stream, groves of apple and apricot trees, organic gardens, beautiful flowers and the best location with a 360° view of the Himalyas. Boasting its own organic garden, guests can enjoy the taste of locally grown vegetables prepared in Tibetan, Chinese, Continental and Indian styles. Overall, it makes for a great retreat for nature lovers…especially the adventurous kind!
