Ramathra Fort

The Ramathra Fort is located atop a hill in the very picturesque hamlet of Ramathra. The fort has a strong perimeter wall crowned with parapets surrounding it and inside is a multi-story palace, parts of which are being restored using traditional architectural techniques with the help of local craftsmen. Accommodation is divided into two categories, suites and tents. The rooms are elegant, have custom furnishings, hand-woven rugs, traditional stone lattices and painted ceilings. The tents are set against the fort’s rampart walls, have a private porch each and are surrounded by a lush courtyard. The interiors are spacious, decorated with modern teak furniture, printed cotton furnishings and traditional flat woven rugs.
