Hugging a 25kms longish road between Udomxai and Phongsali, this small Tai Lu village of Muang La is picturesque and friendly. The lush vegetation and the town houses of wood and bamboo, are met by 2 rushing rivers – the Nam Phak and the Nam La. Although there is an ancient wat – Ban Longya, with a large stone claimed to have Buddha’s footprint, the real reason for visitors here are the hot springs.
