Rwenzoris Hiking Trips

Explore the beauteous ‘Mountains of the Moon’! Located on the Uganda-Congo border just north of the Equator, The Rwenzori Mountains have six peaks and the highest, Margherita Peak, rises to 5,109 metres. Interesting flora and fauna greet you here, and the remote Kilembe route to the Rwenzoris takes you through some spectacular sections of the park, including the breathtaking Nyamwamba Valley. Accommodation on the newly-opened Kilembe route is sparse unlike the standard Rwenzori circuit. Climbing Margherita Peak can be taxing but also extremely rewarding thanks to the stunning views across Albert Peaks to Congo and further east of the Rwenzori Mountains.
