Primate Lodge is the only lodge located within the Kibale Forest National Park. It offers 9 luxury cottages and 7 standard cottages as well as a unique tree house deep within the rainforest. The cottages are raised on a wooden platform and covered by a grass-thatched roof, featuring African decor with colourful bedspreads, big windows and a private veranda, so you can enjoy the views into the forest and feel close to nature. Primate Lodge offers a restaurant, a bar, a lounge area and a sunken fireplace for the colder evenings. The cosy set up of the lodge ensures you a nice place to unwind after a day in the forest. With 13 species, Kibale Forest National Park offers the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa and with the lodge’s location right next to the chimpanzee trekking starting point, Primate Lodge is a prime spot for trekking our closest relatives. Guests can also enjoy a great birding experience with 325 different species of birds in the area, go for a village walk, explore the crater lakes or hike around the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains.
