Cormoran Lodge

Cormoran Lodge is an upmarket Lodge in Kibuye on the shores of the beautiful Lake Kivu. With its shimmering turquoise blue this lake is amongst one of the most prestigious in Africa and offers a tranquil getaway. The lodge has a unique design entirely built of wood. The rooms, reception and restaurant constitute of log cabins on stilts, giving it a charming and rustic feel. Being situated on a steep hill and all the cabins facing the lake the lodge guarantees great views of the lake and the surrounding islands in the distance. Cormoran Lodge has 5 cabins, 2 double story cabins of which one is a family cabin and 3 single story cabins of which one is a VIP cabin, which offers a distant view of the fiery Nyiragongo volcano in the Congo. A small man made beach with sun umbrellas ensures you a place to relax right at the lake. Various activities on offer are boat rides, kayaking, wake boarding, snorkelling and windsurfing. When not enjoying a dip in the lake or water sports you can play a round of billiard, darts or card games in the game room.
