Shiki-no Yado Onoaida

Shiki-no Yado Onoaida is a charming little lodge tucked into the shadows of Mount Mocchomu in Yakushima. Barely a half hour’s drive from the airport, expect to find a tranquil family run lodge with its own kitchen gardens and viewing deck of the lovely landscape. Stay in comfortable rooms with most modern amenities, a private balcony and bathing area that overlook the mountain and rolling hills beyond. The main building and dining area offer WiFi access as well. Within walking distance of the Onoaida hot springs and the ocean, there’s much to do around town. The lodge provides bicycles, umbrellas, beach chairs and snorkeling gear for you to borrow. After a long hike through the surrounding cedar forests, relax by the mountain viewing deck, sipping shochu and warm sake. Enjoy the delicious home cooked Japanese meals and fresh sashimi, lovingly prepared with local ingredients and garden fresh organic greens.
