Pacuare Lodge is a wilderness eco-retreat boasting a remote location within vast acres of pristine native woods on the banks of its namesake river in Costa Rica. Arriving via rafts and 4×4 drives, enjoy the tropical rainforests and Talamanca Mountains’ surrounds. Wake up to views of lush canopies in your stilted thatched-roof cabins, built in traditional style by local Cabebar Indian shamans. Enjoy the generously appointed, airy accommodations, which feature attached outdoor rainshowers and private balconies with hammocks. Swim in the spring-fed infinity pool overlooking the lush jungles, replete with exotic flora and fauna, and laze about the twin-story waterfront lounge. Soothe your senses with chocolate massages and yoga sessions at the spa hut, to the sounds of birdsong. As evening falls, sip on fine vintages from the cellar, and savor private candlelit dinners at The Nest atop a kapok tree canopy accessible via zip line! Please note that guests staying at the lodge are only allowed to take 12kg of luggage with them. The remaining luggage can either be stored or sent to the hotel at extra cost – a maximum of three pieces of luggage per reservation.
