Ruth studied Cosmetology in Nairobi, after which she underwent a short trainee course in Guest Relations in a hotel in Taba, Egypt. Her very first job was managing a spa in Maasai Mara. The essential skills she picked up there in addition to her decade-long experience in the hospitality industry (hosting, guest relations, administration work, marketing, events and spa management in restaurants and boutique hotels) make her an ideal fit for handling varied travelers.
Next on Ruth’s travel bucket list is Bali, whose natural beauty, vibrant culture, laidback lifestyle, amazing food and breathtaking beaches, captivate her endlessly. Away from the daily grind, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking new recipes, checking out new restaurants, hiking, going on long walks, doing yoga, reading and listening to podcasts.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
Mount Kenya is right at the top of my most memorable travel experiences. The preparation hikes leading to the final ascent boasted incredibly stunning trails. The three days spent climbing the mountain were nothing short of spectacular! Being part of the leading group to the summit at Lenana point was exhilarating, and I still recall the sunrise with vivid detail! The sheer silence as the sky turned color is something that will remain etched in my memory for years to come. The journey was tough but it taught me resilience. Overall, it was the most rewarding adventure, something I would definitely do again!
