Discover the most prominent attractions of the city during this tour. At the scheduled time, a private vehicle will take you to the city’s historic Barrio La Mision neighborhood. Next, see the distinctively shaped Provincial Legislature building that is located close to the waterfront. From the sprawling premises, take in splendid views of the city and the Beagle Channel. Your guide will then show you around ancient houses belonging to the first Feugian families who lived here. The last stop on your itinerary is the museum complex of the Ushuaia prison. The prison was shut down in 1947 and now houses five museums and an art gallery. Browse the Maritime Museum and learn about the rich seafaring heritage of the region. At the Prison Museum, walk the narrow corridors and look inside the cells that once housed notorious criminals. After, drive back to your hotel. Group Visit to Estancia Harberton and Penguin Colony

Travel to the historical Estancia Harberton enjoying the beautiful Fuegian landscape that unfolds as you venture out of the city of Ushuaia. Upon reaching the Estancia, embark on a short navigation along the Beagle Channel to the Martillo Island penguin colony. Here you will have the unique opportunity to disembark on the island and walk along it’s trails experiencing these quirky and curious animals up close. Discover the dramatic scenery of Tierra del Fuego National Park on this full day tour in Argentina. You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and driven to the park, which is located near the city of Ushuaia. Follow your guide on a walk through subantarctic forests and down the trail that leads to the famous Lapataia Bay. The edge of the bay is popularly known as the ‘End of the World’ as it is the southernmost point you can drive to in the Western Hemisphere. Uncover the secrets of the Beagle Channel, a strait in the Tierra Del Fuego Archipelago. Stay on the coast to discover old aboriginal camps and explore an ancient forest. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the land, its history, and the flora and fauna found here. Keep an eye out for birds such as geese, ducks, and woodpeckers. Be enchanted by the impressive Argentinean Andes and enjoy the solitude of this mountainous region.

El Chaltén is a hikers paradise! With very well-marked trails leaving right from the small center of town, you can enjoy various day-hikes independently leaving right from your hotel. The hotel will have trail maps and experienced staff to give recommendations and organize for lunch boxes for the longer hikes. Favorite hikes include Cerro Torre (medium level trek) and Laguna de los Tres (difficult level trek) which leads up to the stunning lagoons at the base of Mount Fitz Roy. El Calafate

From being a simple village where time seemed to stand still, El Calafate has grown into a modern city, frequented just as much by the Argentineans themselves as by foreign tourists. While here, explore the Perito Moreno glacier and the ‘massif’ surrounding it from close quarters with trained and experienced personnel, and marvel at the sight of ice floes breaking off from the glacier and floating past you.

Go on an unforgettable journey into the Patagonian ice world and enjoy a trek on the surface of the Perito Moreno Glacier. At the scheduled time you will be driven to Los Glaciares National Park. Once you arrive at Bajo de las Sombras port, sail down the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino to the glacier. Your expert mountain guides will meet you and lead you to a shelter with a view of the glacier. Then set out on a trek along the lake’s coast. Watch out for ice calving and listen to a talk about glaciology. On arrival at the side of the glacier, you will be split into groups of 20. Strap on your helmets and crampons and climb on to the glacier’s surface. Your guide will give you a safety briefing and help you get to know the glacier better. Learn about the flora and fauna of the region and spot a variety of glacier features such as deep cracks, blue moulins, and turquoise ponds. On your way back, sail close to the south wall of the glacier and spend an hour on the footbridges in front of the glacier. Estancia Cristina Discovery & Upsala Glacier

Navigate the turquoise waters of Lake Argentino, sailing past floating icebergs as you venture deep into the national park en route to the remote Estancia Cristina. Once at the estancia, learn its history on a brief tour of its museum before embarking on an adventurous 4×4 excursion ascending the mountains to the breathtaking viewpoint of the Upsala Glacier. Marvel at the enormity of this icy giant framed by the dark, rugged mountains of southern Patagonia. Descend back to the estancia and return to El Calafate by evening. (07:30 to 20:00. This is our second international trip with Enchanting Travels. The first was in 2023 with our grown children to Japan. The second was February 2025 to Patagonia for just my husband and myself. For years I planned my families trips and don’t regret that, but there is a clear difference in the experiences when using travel professionals. Our Enchanting Travels trip to Argentina and Uruguay was simply lovely. The itinerary was put together cooperatively, catering to our limited time and desired stops. The transfers were flawless. The drivers were superior, in our case, not only driving safely, but answering so many questions. The guides were excellent, which is perhaps to be expected since they have to study for 3 or 4 years in order to earn tour guide status. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfasts were included at all hotels. It was so nice to have a local contact to assist us. In one instance, we lost a wallet, and our contact helped us track down where we had left it and arranged for it to be returned. We wanted to see where an ancestor was buried in the British Cemetery in Buenos Aires, and Enchanting Travels located the burial plot and wove that stop into our tour. These are examples of the excellent service we received.
