Beyond the scenic beauty, you can also enjoy world class cuisine here, from decadent steakhouses (parrillas) to avant-garde tasting menus in the city’s trendiest enclaves.

For lovers of art and culture, Buenos Aires is not only the birthplace of the tango but is known for its galleries, street art and  literature. Do not miss exploring its distinct neighborhoods such as the Recoleta district, with its stately mansions and iconic cemetery, as well as San Telmo and Puerto Madero that are known for their modern sophistication.

Iconic Landmarks of Buenos Aires (Half Day Tour)

Explore the pulsating Argentine capital on this tour of the city’s iconic destinations. Set off from your hotel in the company of your guide, enjoying a leisurely tour of Buenos Aires. Visit the chic French residential neighborhood of Recoleta, teeming with classy art galleries and cultural centers. If you’re lucky, you could even catch an exhibition or two while visiting the district. Also visit the Recoleta Cemetery, to find the graves of notable people, including Eva Perón. Continue with the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Colon Theater, the National Congress, and the Presidential Palace, before returning to your hotel. Gala Tango Tango Show & Dinner

Spend the evening at Gala Tango in the neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the historic centers of of tango. Enjoy a sensuous experience in which traditions are preserved and where the ambiance exudes the charms of the bygone era and the best of Buenos Aires tango music and dance. An added bonus is the introduction to Argentine folkloric dancing and music typical to the Northwest of the country. El Calafate

From being a simple village where time seemed to stand still, El Calafate has grown into a modern city, frequented just as much by the Argentineans themselves as by foreign tourists. While here, explore the Perito Moreno glacier and the ‘massif’ surrounding it from close quarters with trained and experienced personnel, and marvel at the sight of ice floes breaking off from the glacier and floating past you.

Personalized Tour of Perito Moreno Glacier

Get acquainted with Argentina’s majestic Perito Moreno Glacier on this full day adventure. Your private guide and chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Set out along the southern shore of Lake Argentino to reach Los Glaciares National Park. Once you are inside the park, stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the Andes Mountains, the alpine forests, and the Rico arm of the lake. You can also catch your first glimpse of the Perito Moreno Glacier from here. Then proceed to the 4,000 meters of balconies and walkways set at different levels to enjoy various views of the glacier. Your guide will tell you all about this imposing natural phenomenon and the surrounding ecosystem. Spend some time watching and contemplating this massive block of ice and learning how it behaves before returning to your hotel the way you came. Your chauffeur will drive you from El Calafate to Cerro Castillo (Drop-off at CH-border, for TDP Hotels) in a private vehicle. (Duration: 3hrs)

At the Chilean border you will be picked-up by the shuttle transfer of your hotel (Duration: approx. 2.5 hours).

Australis Cruise: Fjords of Tierra del Fuego – Punta Arenas to Ushuaia (Five Days / Four Nights)

Explore Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego on this adventure cruise. In the evening, your ship departs from Punta Arenas. As you set sail, meet the captain and crew in the Sky Lounge. After, savor a delicious dinner paired with exquisite South American wines while the vessel navigates through Whiteside Canal. By dawn, you will find yourself gliding along the remote Alberto de Agostini National Park. Go ashore on inflatable boats at Ainsworth Bay, home to elephant seals and an array of birds including dolphin gulls and kelp geese. Then, head to Tucker Islets and visit a Magellanic penguin and cormorant colony. Back onboard, you may take a tour of the bridge and engine room, and attend a lecture on the region’s glaciology. On day three, enter the secluded Pia Fjord and take a short hike, for panoramic views of the enormous ice field. Later, proceed along the Beagle Channel, through Glacier Alley, with its five tidewater glaciers named after European countries. The fourth day brings you to Nassau Bay and Murray Channel, which leads to the Cape Horn National Park, a UNESCO designated World Biosphere Reserve. In the afternoon, cruise to Wulaia Bay, where Charles Darwin landed during his voyage on the H. M. S. Beagle. The following morning, sail into Argentine waters and dock in Ushuaia, where your voyage concludes. This is our second international trip with Enchanting Travels. The first was in 2023 with our grown children to Japan. The second was February 2025 to Patagonia for just my husband and myself. For years I planned my families trips and don’t regret that, but there is a clear difference in the experiences when using travel professionals. Traveling to Japan soon after the country reopened from COVID, I did not know if the typical travel books or videos would have updated information on hotels and restaurants and how they recovered from the pandemic. I put full trust in Enchanting Travels and they far exceeded expectations. Best trip ever, my children agree. Our patagonia trip was crafted with similar expertise. Our Enchanting Travels trip to Argentina and Uruguay was simply lovely. The itinerary was put together cooperatively, catering to our limited time and desired stops. The transfers were flawless. The drivers were superior, in our case, not only driving safely, but answering so many questions. The guides were excellent, which is perhaps to be expected since they have to study for 3 or 4 years in order to earn tour guide status. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfasts were included at all hotels. It was so nice to have a local contact to assist us. In one instance, we lost a wallet, and our contact helped us track down where we had left it and arranged for it to be returned. We wanted to see where an ancestor was buried in the British Cemetery in Buenos Aires, and Enchanting Travels located the burial plot and wove that stop into our tour. These are examples of the excellent service we received.
