Dock 69°39 occupies the former Vervet shipyard area on the waterfront in central Tromsø, with the Polar Museum just 200 meters away and the main shopping street about 700 meters from the hotel. The setting carries particular historical resonance: Vervet once played a role in Norway’s polar history, including preparing Roald Amundsen’s ship Gjøa for its famous Northwest Passage expedition.

The 305 accommodations are spread across 13 floors and combine warm colors, Scandinavian design, and industrial accents inspired by the district’s shipyard past. Panoramic windows throughout the building frame Tromsø’s cityscape and surrounding nature.
