1h-Elephant Ride in Wildgrass
Kaziranga National Park is home to most of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceros and boasts the highest tiger density among the world’s protected areas. It is a world heritage site and declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. Being a wetland grassland habitat, a jeep game drive is on manmade highland tracks and just a 25 minute drive to the Western Range Park entrance. An elephant ride is an ideal mode for exploring the myriad wildlife in the Kaziranga National Park, a vast area covered by elephant grass. Enjoy a pleasant one hour early morning ride (0500hrs / 0600hrs). Your group of riding elephants follow a route along the park edge through tall wild grass and short grass meadows. If you’re lucky, you might have a close encounter with rhino, buffalo and swamp deer!
