The wide array of dishes served at this historic Indian restaurant will leave you delighted. Within, gigantic Victorian-era doors open into a vast space replete with a huge domed ceiling with opulent chandeliers and Asian tapestry. Conceptualized in 1942, this is Delhi’s old world charm at its glittering best, accompanied by fragrant, fresh coffee, and Continental, Indian and Asian flavors.
Mid-range: Dhaba by Claridges

Set within the premises of The Claridges Hotel in Lutyens New Delhi, this iconic Indian restaurant has drawn in the crowds since 1986. Expect kitschy interiors and a relaxed ambiance accompanied by an Indian-style bar and some of the best loved dishes in North India – from kebabs to curries, melt-in-your-mouth naan bread to flavorful betel leaves served as after-dinner palate cleansers. As luxurious as they come, the Spice Route restaurant is set within the premises of one of Delhi top end luxury hotels – The Imperial. At one time voted one of the world’s ten best restaurants by Conde Nast Traveler, eating at this Indian Restaurant is an experience in itself – the Spice Route prides itself on an authentic reflection of the journey of spices, right from Southern Indian through Asia all the way to Vietnam.

This Indian Restaurant in Agra certainly have a few tricks up their sleeve, with magician shows and henna painting to accompany your dinner! The menu is extensive and the service excellent, making this an ideal restaurant for those who wish to venture away from the fine dining options at five star hotels. It’s the ideal place in Agra to sample some of the best loved Mughlai cuisine – from biryani to parathas and unique Indian sweet dishes.
High-end: Anise
Courtyard by Marriott Agra, Taj Nagri Phase 2, Agra
While away a romantic evening under the starry sky sampling some of the finest North Indian food in Agra. This elegant Indian restaurant inside the Courtyard by Mariott hotel is famed as much for its unique ambiance, taking you back to an era of sparkling fountains and accompanied by firelight and traditional Indian live music, as it is for it’s delectable cuisine and cocktails.

Set amid a lush green courtyard, the multi-cuisine Spice Court at Civil Lines is famed for serving up authentic and spicy Rajasthani cuisine. Try traditional dishes lovingly prepared from age-old local recipes, with folk dancers and traditional puppet shows to keep you entertained every evening.
Mid-range: Niros
#80, Ashok Nagar, Mirza Ismail Road, Near Panch Batti, Jaipur
One of the oldest and most popular Indian restaurants in Jaipur, Niros was established way back in 1949. Inside the cozy interiors of this bustling establishment, typical Rajasthani vegetarian and non-vegetarian favorites, along with some Continental and Asian fare, are served up with helpings of chilled beer and wine. We recommend the spicy lal maas and the butter chicken.
High-end: 1135 AD
Level 2, Jaleb Chowk, Near Sheela Mata Temple, Amber Palace, Amer, Jaipur
Dine like the Maharajahs of yore at the 1135 AD, set inside the magnificent Amber Fort. This heritage Indian restaurant offers a charming courtyard, a formal dining room complete with high ceilings, plush furnishings and crystal chandeliers, and a private dining area done up entirely in silver and gold! Perhaps more famed for the experience and the ambiance, the food at 1135 AD however, is just as memorable, with traditional North Indian cuisine on offer.
