Woody Point is a historic town at the edge of Bonne Bay in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Gros Morne’s ancient landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The early capital of the West Coast of Newfoundland, this little town has a rich culture and history. Take a walk down the Heritage District that stretches along the lovely waterfront, lined with heritage mansions, old church and theater buildings. Don’t miss the excellent photo ops at the Woody Point Lighthouse, built in the early 1900s on a grassy knoll overlooking Bonne Bay. The Gros Morne Discovery Center is worth a visit too.
