Amara Cruise

The Amara River Cruise 1 is a beautiful cruise ship of the Amara Group, built in traditional local Myanmar style using teak wood. Entirely refurbished by local craftsmen in 2003, the Amara 1 riverboat travels along the Ayeyarwaddy River amid a romantic and peaceful setting. The ship is 30 m / 100 ft long, with a shallow draft of 1 m / 3 ft and equipped with two Japanese made 180hp Hino engines that allow it to go as far north as Bhamo. Seven small but lovely cabins have screened windows and private individual bathrooms with hot / cold showers. Enjoy communal areas, the bar and a canopied sun deck. Electricity is provided 24/7 by a generator and battery. The ship is fitted with safety equipment, including cabin smoke detectors, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, life jackets and a dinghy. On-board amenities include laundry, a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, fresh bed linen and towels, a dining service and bar equipment.
