Located just 35kms away on the outskirts of Bikaner, the Gajner Palace sits on the banks of the Gajner Lake, and is intricately carved in red sandstone. Luxuriously appointed suites and rooms are spacious and come with high ceilings, old fashioned brass beds, carved fireplaces, antique wooden dressing tables, old English wallpaper and ‘jharokha’s’ that afford stunning views of the lake and the Palace’s own wildlife sanctuary.
Big surprise, this place was more than expected, the surroundings, gardens, size of Palace. Restaurant and staff were very good. Other staff less! In room not all was perfect, but I realize it is not easy to modernize an old palace.
