It is located right at the entrance of Bwindi In penetrable National Park which is believed to be home to about half the world’s population of the endangered Mountain Gorillas.
Engagi Lodge is set on the forest-edge, bordering Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda’s gorilla trekking destination. Each of the eight en-suite cottages have verandas with stunning views across Bwindi’s spectacular rainforest. With minimalist decor to blend with the surroundings, the cottages offer a simple resting place for guests. The main area of the lodge, is built entirely from indigenous materials including rock, eucalyptus and thatched roofs made from local banana fibers.
