
Vingerklip Lodge Vingerklip Lodge is nestled in a valley near the rock formation from which it derives its name. The 35m high pillar of sedimentary rock, the Vingerklip, (Finger Rock) is one of the most impressive rock formations in Namibia. It stands proudly above a valley, known as the Ugab terraces, mid-way between the Etosha National Park and Swakopmund in the heart of Damaraland. There is restaurant/bar, coffee bar, Jacuzzi, pool table, a small curio shop and a plunge pool. At Vingerklip Lodge there are 22 thatched bungalows each with en-suite bathrooms, a fan, mosquito nets and an in-room safe. The sheltered veranda’s have breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and is an ideal spot to watch the magnificent Namibian sun set. Set on top of the Ugab Terraces, is the Eagles Nest Restaurant which is only accessible via a short mountain walkway and followed by a 25m climb up a metal staircase. Nature drives, guided walks, sun downer drives and day trips to an authentic Himba village can also be arranged.
