Mayfair Darjeeling is a heritage hotel nestled amid lofty mountains in Darjeeling, just a few minutes from the pedestrianized Mall Road and opposite the renowned Governor’s House. This was originally the summer palace of the Maharaja of Nazargung, yet it boasts a distinct British colonial architecture. Expect grand fireplaces, carved wooden furniture, lofty ceilings, and oodles of charm during your stay. You can rest your head in one of the 44 rooms and suites, which come complete with a personal safe and TV. Literature lovers can curl up with their favorite book in the library, and there is also a gym where you can keep fit. Basic WIFI access is available on a complimentary basis.
