Frégate Island

Fregate Island has 16 villas, restricting the number of guests to a maximum of 40 at any one time. The island is exclusive to its guests and allows no day visitors. Built from traditional materials of mahogany and African teak in a simple style, the villas are topped off with dense thatched roofs. Each villa is positioned to ensure ultimate privacy. Both the architecture and decor draw on Balinese and Thai influences. Fourteen of the villas sit on top of the cliffs with panoramic views over the Indian Ocean. Each villa has air-conditioning, a large terrace with a day bed and jacuzzi as an extension of the living area. The Plantation House restaurant serves traditional Creole dishes & island specialtiesand a gourmet menu features the Chef’s daily selection of local produce.
Discover the remote island while snorkeling, kayaking, game fishing or boating. Sailing and motorboats take you to the numerous dive sites around the island. The island is small, which makes it ideal for exploring on foot. Alternatively, explore the island on a mountain bike along trails that cross the island, go Hobie Cat sailing, enjoy a magical sunset cruise or simply rest in your villa and get pampered by a massage on your deck. Fregate offers a fully equipped gym, a fresh water swimming pool, an extensive library, and a children’s game room.
