Primate Lodge is located in Kibale Forest National Park in a tropical rainforest. It offers 8 luxury safari tents, 7 cottages and a basic tree house. The tents are raised on a wooden platform and covered by a grass-thatched roof. Each of the tents feature African decor with colourful bedspreads, big windows and a private veranda, so you can enjoy the views into the forest and feel close to nature. The cottages are also spread along in the forest, comfortably furnished and all have their own private veranda. The Sky Tree House is suited for the adventurous guest and is a 10 minute walk from the main facilities, thus ensuring more privacy. It is situated at the elephant wallow, which is frequently visited by elephants at night. Primate Lodge offers a restaurant, a bar, a lounge area and a sunken fireplace for the colder evenings. The cosy set up of the lodge ensures you a nice place to unwind after a day in the forest. With 13 different species, Kibale Forest National Park offers the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa and with the lodge’s location right next to the chimpanzee trekking starting point, Primate Lodge is a great for trekking our closest relatives. Guests can also enjoy a great birding experience with 325 different species of birds in the area, go for a village walk, explore the crater lakes or hike around the slopes of the Ruwenzori Mountains.
