Nishimuraya Hotel Shougetsutei is a modern ryokan located in the town of Kinosaki Onsen. Built in the Japanese sukiya-style of architecture, the hotel’s lobby overlooks a courtyard with a stream flowing through its manicured garden. Spacious ensuite rooms have tatami mats and futon beds. Set out to explore this ancient hot spring town attired in a yukata (robe) and geta (sandals) provided by the hotel. Avail free access to all seven public bathhouses, which are within walking distance of each other. The inn also provides a free shuttle to and from the town center. After an eventful day, guests may unwind at the indoor or outdoor hot spring baths and relax in the sauna. Foot massage machines are available too. Help yourself to a cup of coffee or Japanese tea in the lounge and watch a traditional dance-drama performance in the torch-lit central garden. Dinner includes several dishes prepared using the ocean’s freshest bounty and is beautifully presented and served in the room.
