Polana

The Polana Hotel is in the centre of Maputo, a fifteen minute drive from the airport. The original building is over eighty years old and retains the grandeur of its origins, alongside the necessary features of a modern hotel. The rooms in the original building are all slightly different from each other depending on their position within the building, but all have en suite facilities as well as telephone, TV, air conditioning and minibar. Those in the newer Polana del Mare, which is built down the slope towards the sea, are decorated with African themes and have the same facilities as those in the original building. There is a large open dining room which overlooks the swimming pool as well as a bar and patisserie serving pastries and coffee throughout the day. (Category: 5-Star Hotel).
