Spice Village

Spice Village is a resort located in the cool highlands of Thekkady and is 190 kilometers from Cochin International Airport. The property resembles an indigenous village in design as well as philosophy. Thatched cottages are furnished with upcycled pine furniture and the floor is made out of clay. Set on the ground floor, the Spice Garden Cottage has a private entrance that leads to a patio. Reclining chairs offer a quiet spot to savor garden views and the crisp mountain air. While the chefs are happy to rustle up something closer to home at the Tamarind Restaurant, be sure to try dishes from the ‘50-mile’ menu. Ingredients are sourced from within 50 miles of the resort and are used to make delicacies such as cardamom chicken curry and peppery grilled aubergine.
