Group Cruise: Flying the Drake
Begin your day early in the morning as you hop onto a chartered flight from Punta Arenas over Cape Horn, flying over the legendary Drake Passage. Just two hours later, you will arrive at Chile’s Frei Station on King George Island, which is part of the South Shetland Islands. Having landed, you can stretch your legs with a mile-long (1.6 km) walk up to the shore, taking in the beautiful views at this Mars-like landscape peppered with colorful houses and research stations. Afterward, you will be transferred by Zodiac boat to your ship and set sail for the Antarctic Peninsula! Onboard, check into your accommodation, refresh yourself and gather for lunch as you set off. Following a delicious meal, you will have plenty of opportunities to admire the dramatic landscape surrounding you. As night falls, enjoy your first dinner experience on the ship and then it’s lights out!
