Beyond the scenic beauty, you can also enjoy world class cuisine here, from decadent steakhouses (parrillas) to avant-garde tasting menus in the city’s trendiest enclaves.

For lovers of art and culture, Buenos Aires is not only the birthplace of the tango but is known for its galleries, street art and literature. Do not miss exploring its distinct neighborhoods such as the Recoleta district, with its stately mansions and iconic cemetery, as well as San Telmo and Puerto Madero that are known for their modern sophistication.

From being a simple village where time seemed to stand still, El Calafate has grown into a modern city, frequented just as much by the Argentineans themselves as by foreign tourists. While here, explore the Perito Moreno glacier and the ‘massif’ surrounding it from close quarters with trained and experienced personnel, and marvel at the sight of ice floes breaking off from the glacier and floating past you.

Get acquainted with Argentina’s majestic Perito Moreno Glacier on this full day adventure. Your private guide and chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Set out along the southern shore of Lake Argentino to reach Los Glaciares National Park. Once you are inside the park, stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the Andes Mountains, the alpine forests, and the Rico arm of the lake. You can also catch your first glimpse of the Perito Moreno Glacier from here. Then proceed to the 4,000 meters of balconies and walkways set at different levels to enjoy various views of the glacier. Explore Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego on this adventure cruise. In the evening, your ship departs from Punta Arenas. As you set sail, meet the captain and crew in the Sky Lounge. After, savor a delicious dinner paired with exquisite South American wines while the vessel navigates through Whiteside Canal. By dawn, you will find yourself gliding along the remote Alberto de Agostini National Park. Go ashore on inflatable boats at Ainsworth Bay, home to elephant seals and an array of birds including dolphin gulls and kelp geese. Then, head to Tucker Islets and visit a Magellanic penguin and cormorant colony. Back onboard, you may take a tour of the bridge and engine room, and attend a lecture on the region’s glaciology. On day three, enter the secluded Pia Fjord and take a short hike, for panoramic views of the enormous ice field. Later, proceed along the Beagle Channel, through Glacier Alley, with its five tidewater glaciers named after European countries. Our Enchanting Travels trip to Argentina and Uruguay was simply lovely. The itinerary was put together cooperatively, catering to our limited time and desired stops. The transfers were flawless. The drivers were superior, in our case, not only driving safely, but answering so many questions. The guides were excellent, which is perhaps to be expected since they have to study for 3 or 4 years in order to earn tour guide status. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfasts were included at all hotels. It was so nice to have a local contact to assist us. In one instance, we lost a wallet, and our contact helped us track down where we had left it and arranged for it to be returned. We wanted to see where an ancestor was buried in the British Cemetery in Buenos Aires, and Enchanting Travels located the burial plot and wove that stop into our tour.
