Explore Botswana’s first national park! Once inhabited by the San bushmen, Chobe National Park is unique with its San paintings that were carved into the rocks. Today, Chobe is a haven for many animal species including impala, giraffe and a wide variety of birds, and is most renowned for the multitude of elephants that concentrate on the Chobe River during the dry season. It is estimated 50,000 pachyderms have made Chobe their home! There is also a large concentration of predators such as lions and leopards. Witness a world of glittering water! The Okavango Delta is one of the largest inland deltas on earth. Each summer, floods pour through a vast network of narrow waterways, lagoons until they are soaked up by the sands. Expect diverse wildlife and birdlife – impala, tsessebe, sable and the elegant kudu, or thirsty buffalo, wildebeest and zebra in the dry season. Lions, cheetahs and wild dogs hunt in the open grassland! Experience game drives and safari walks on land, while boat or mokoru (a dugout canoe) rides allow you to silently glide pass crocodiles! {Please note that due to fluctuating weather conditions and decreased rainfall, water levels at the Okavango Delta may be lower than usual at the time of your visit. Our team will be happy to provide further updates closer to your travel dates and plan alternate activities if required}

Enjoy an incredibly diverse safari experience! Explore the Okavango Delta on exciting game drives in the early morning when the animals are particularly active and in the late afternoon when the sun paints incredible colors on the horizon. Enjoy abundant outdoor activities unique to this part of the world at Gomoti Plains, situated on the banks of the Gomoti river at Okavango Delta. Get up close to wildlife in their natural habitat as they gather around watering holes to quench their thirst. Set out at dawn for an authentic safari in the vast open wetlands of this stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening, get adventurous and enjoy a night safari for a chance to see the animals after dark. In the morning, there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed: discover the jungle by foot with an experienced guide during a nature walk. Or hop on a Mokoro, a type of canoe unique to Botswana, and be guided through the shallow waters of the Gomoti river by your oarsman. Depending on the level of water, your boatride is the perfect opportunity to see nesting waterbirds and more.

Follow in the footsteps of early explorers! Maun has been the start of expeditions into Botswana’s wildlife areas since the turn of the century, and is the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Many guests stay only a day before setting off on safari. Once a village, Maun has recently grown into a bustling little town with shops and hotels. Watch as herdsmen wander along the dusty curbside driving their cattle to the marketplace, or see the traditional houses dotted along the wide banks of the Thamalakane River where red lechwe graze next to local donkeys and goats.

Our travel coordinator, Jeniffer Korir, was fabulous with planning our trip. She listened carefully to what we were interested in and arranged travel, destinations, and activities that aligned with our interests. She did a great job matching our budget and interests to availability of activities, and the destination. She developed a thorough itinerary and advised us on all aspects of the trip down to the when and how much to tip. When our flight was canceled, Jeniffer proactively noticed it and made other arrangements, including adjusting all of our other travel plans.
