Discover South Africa’s beating heart! Johannesburg, or Jo’burg’ is a dynamic, cosmopolitan city with great places to eat and interesting sites to visit. The city has played a Jekyll and Hyde role in global consciousness, highlighting both ups and downs of 21st century South Africa. A guided tour of Soweto (the Southwest Townships) offers a glimpse of history and daily life, whilst the Apartheid Museum pays tribute to South Africa’s recent poignant past. Powerful monuments, a musical variety from sophisticated jazz to urban kwaito, and a fusion of flavors in the shebeens of Soweto to the upmarket bistros of Rosebank and Sandton all await you.

Chobe National Park

Explore Botswana’s first national park! Once inhabited by the San bushmen, Chobe National Park is unique with its San paintings that were carved into the rocks. Today, Chobe is a haven for many animal species including impala, giraffe and a wide variety of birds, and is most renowned for the multitude of elephants that concentrate on the Chobe River during the dry season. It is estimated 50,000 pachyderms have made Chobe their home! There is also a large concentration of predators such as lions and leopards. Savuti & Linyanti

A remote area consisting of swamp, rich grasslands and vast tracts of sandy plains, Savuti and Linyanti borders Chobe National Park. You can enjoy an abundance of game all year around in Linyanti, but it is usually during the dry winter months when you can witness elephants and other wildlife at the rivers and waterholes, usually in astoundingly large herds. With the predatory lions to contend with, expect jaw-dropping antics. A lesser known but annual migration occurs when the animals head south to Savuti in November to enjoy good grazing opportunities in the fertile Savuti Marsh.

Okavango Delta

Witness a world of glittering water! The Okavango Delta is one of the largest inland deltas on earth. Each summer, floods pour through a vast network of narrow waterways, lagoons until they are soaked up by the sands. Expect diverse wildlife and birdlife – impala, tsessebe, sable and the elegant kudu, or thirsty buffalo, wildebeest and zebra in the dry season. Lions, cheetahs and wild dogs hunt in the open grassland! Experience game drives and safari walks on land, while boat or mokoru (a dugout canoe) rides allow you to silently glide pass crocodiles! {Please note that due to fluctuating weather conditions and decreased rainfall, water levels at the Okavango Delta may be lower than usual at the time of your visit. Our team will be happy to provide further updates closer to your travel dates and plan alternate activities if required}

Our travel coordinator, Jeniffer Korir, was fabulous with planning our trip. She listened carefully to what we were interested in and arranged travel, destinations, and activities that aligned with our interests. She did a great job matching our budget and interests to availability of activities, and the destination. She developed a thorough itinerary and advised us on all aspects of the trip down to the when and how much to tip. When our flight was canceled, Jeniffer proactively noticed it and made other arrangements, including adjusting all of our other travel plans. I would highly recommend using enchanting travels for booking once in a lifetime vacations; they are experienced with the destinations and save you lots of time with doing your own research and making your own travel plans.
