Naxos

The largest among the Cyclades in Greece, the island of Naxos is embraced by the glistening Aegean Sea. Hora’s atmospheric waterfront and windy streets lined with ancient Venetian mansions are perfect for a leisurely meander. Naxos’ ideal wind conditions attract watersports enthusiasts, while underwater caves along with eerie ship and aircraft wrecks offer excellent scuba diving opportunities. As night falls, Naxos’s cool rooftop cafes, cocktail bars, and family-run restaurants transform into lively entertainment hubs, serving up the region’s prized and bountiful produce and trademark Kitron liqueur. Every summer, the Bazeos Tower hosts the Naxos Festival, showcasing the island’s culture.

Explore the highlights of the island of Naxos. First, set out to see the abandoned marble statue of Kouros, in the ancient temples on the outskirts of Melanes. Continue to the viewpoint of Stavros, and enjoy 360-degree vistas of Naxos. Next, make your way to the village of Apiranthos, set on the lush slopes of Mount Fanari. Meander along the streets flanked by marble houses, or drop by museums and old churches. Settle down at a traditional taverna to enjoy panoramic vistas of the valleys around. Milos

Milos is a delightful volcanic island of the Cyclades located within the Aegean Sea in Greece. Although famous for the discovery of the Venus de Milo statue, the island has plenty to offer in its picture-postcard painted white villages set around a central caldera. Dozens of exotic beaches in various shades line its shores, including the otherworldly Sarakiniko Beach with its greyish-white, wind-shaped rock features and stories of pirates. These sparkling waters are ideal for a myriad of watersports and reef explorations, while the large network of dirt roads encourage off-roading adventures. Apart from churches and museums, there are thermal springs and old sulfur mines for outdoor enthusiasts. The Christian catacombs of Trypiti, the colorful syrmata or fishing houses of Klima village, and the sea caves of Kleftiko offer unique excursions. Scheduled throughout summer, the annual Festival of Milos showcases the rich culture and traditions of this island.
