Florence

This rich capital of Tuscany, by the River Arno, is home to some of Europe’s most priceless treasures that global travelers flock to pay homage to. Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation, Michelangelo’s David and Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus are among the many masterpieces that adorn this birthplace of the Renaissance. The city center of Florence is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The iconic landmarks of the city are the Duomo, a domed cathedral with a bell tower, and the Piazza della Signoria. Arguably, the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Galleria degli Uffizi together house the greatest collection of Italian Renaissance art. Feast your eyes on Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raphael and da Vinci masterpieces, among a host of other Italian masters. This is also the city to savor Italian fashion and gourmet Tuscan cuisine. Florence is home to haute-couture designers like Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo and the ‘Fiorentina’ label is a fashion statement in its own right. Generous servings of Tuscan wines and traditional flavors are equally big on the global traveler’s list.

Venice

A group of around 100 tiny islands, lapped by the waters of the Adriatic Sea, replete with magnificent art and architecture, the dreamy sight of gondolas slowly making their way through the canals, amid the signature ‘oieee’ calls – little surprise why Venice automatically features among the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world! Literally every brick of this city is steeped in history, given its strict laws on historical preservation. From stunning palaces flanking the Grand Canal exhibiting a medley of architectural styles to the paintings of Renaissance masters that dot the walls of the city’s many churches and the Teatro la Fenice’s ornate setting with its gilded boxes, witness to many powerful operas, Venice is all about the celebration of rich cultural treasures. It’s hard not to travel back in time as you walk through its hidden paths and shortcuts – and it’s equally difficult not to get lost in the labyrinth of passages, a beautiful adventure in itself and literally a rite of passage for any traveler in the city! Equally unmissable is sipping a coffee at the many cafes that dot these lanes, or savoring the freshest of seafood – making every trip to Venice a feast for all the senses!

Rovinj is a charming little fishing port on the Istrian peninsula, washed by the Adriatic Sea. The town was originally an island and part of the Rovinj archipelago, which lies just off the mainland. The Old Town is tightly packed with houses sitting close together, with a labyrinth of narrow cobblestone streets winding their way down to the seaside. The town’s most prominent landmark is St. Euphemia’s Church, perched on a hilltop, with panoramic views of the headland and waterfront. The laidback air invites travelers to let down their hair and enjoy a leisurely vacation, soaking in the sun and the sea, and people watching by the town square. Rovinj also boasts of lively outdoor markets that are fun to browse around. Relish the delicious fresh seafood, a variety of pastas, exquisite Istrian truffles and pršut or dried ham, all washed down by the local Terrano red wine liqueur known as Teranino.

Your chauffeur will drive you from Split to Dubrovnik in a private vehicle (Duration: 3 hrs)

2 Nights

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik has to be one of the best preserved historical towns standing by the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea. The Old Town of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is nothing short of a time capsule, taking you back centuries to its heyday as a great mercantile port. Standing at the foothills of Mount Srdj, beside the Dalmatian coast, the town’s natural landscape is just as impressive as its heritage architecture. Parts of the old sea fort rise right from the town’s waterfront precinct, complete with a massive tower, fortified walls, beautiful palaces and churches. Must visit monuments include the St. Blaise Church with its grand Baroque architecture, the Sponza Palace from the Renaissance period, and the Rector’s Palace, which is a museum today. A cable car ride up to Mount Srdj is worth the panoramic view of the city spread out beneath. Settle down at the pedestrian only town square lined with eateries, enjoying black risotto and the local rožata pudding.
