International arrival in Calgary

Calgary

Calgary is a vibrant prairie city perched in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. The Glenbow Museum showcases its history, Indigenous culture and art. The Prince’s Island Park, a lush river island nestled along the Bow River, offers scenic walking paths, picnic spots, and views of the downtown Calgary skyline. From the glass-floored observation deck of the iconic Calgary Tower, soak in breathtaking views of the city and the Rocky Mountains. For an authentic neighborhood adventure, venture to the historic Inglewood district. Discover its independent galleries and vintage shops. Sample Alberta beef paired with a local craft beer during your exploration. Calgary also serves as a gateway to destinations such as Banff National Park, Jasper and the iconic Icefields Parkway.

With a generous sprinkling of natural attractions and a rich cultural heritage, this scenic region holds promise of an enjoyable getaway for all seasons. Hiking and biking are two popular ways of discovering the rolling grasslands, hoodoos, and sprawling canyons. Those looking for a more sedate pace can opt for golfing sessions at the many courses.
