An ever-evolving and dynamic cosmopolitan city, Calgary still maintains the tranquility of the Rockies. It is fairly easy to take a gondola ride or hike along a trail to reach a secluded spot in the mountains beside a lake, capture panoramic views and get back to the city in a few hours.

You will be transferred from Calgary airport to your hotel in Banff in a private vehicle (duration: 1.5 hrs)

A resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and part of Canada’s oldest national park, Banff is an outdoor enthusiast’s haven. One of the various ways that you can travel through the region is onboard the Rocky Mountaineer Train.

Enjoy lush alpine views and visit recreational destinations with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Experience the glacial serenity of Lake Minnewanka as you walk along its mirror-like waters, perhaps spotting wildlife including bighorn sheep on the banks. Feel the thunder at Bow Falls as this wide, short waterfall rushes down a river valley eroded by past glaciers. Allow yourself a ‘Wow!’ moment as the fairy tale castle outline of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel suddenly springs into view at the corner on Tunnel Mountain Road, rightly nicknamed the Surprise Corner lookout. Visit the Cave & Basin national historic site and learn about interesting episodes of the regions past, such as how three railway workers discovered liquid gold in the form of thermal pools. Banff Gondola
With six stunning mountain ranges and the sweep of the Bow Valley laid out before you, views from the Sulphur Mountain summit are nothing short of breathtaking. Enjoy the iconic Gondola ride, a mesmerizing stroll along the Boardwalk, gain interesting insights about Banff National Park at the Interpretive Center and experience a bird perspective at the multi-sensory Above Banff Theatre. (Starting Point: Banff Gondola Base, from where the Gondola ride up to the summit takes about 8 min. The Gondola Base is located near Banff Upper Hot Springs and the Rimrock Resort. Transfers are not included, unless we have selected this activity for you along with a private sightseeing tour by car. Drive yourself to the Gondola Base in your rental car, alternatively Roam Transit Line 1 busses operate every 30-45 min between downtown Banff and the Gondola base, a 20 min ride. Your ticket includes the return Gondola ride from the summit to the base, several hiking trails also lead back down to Banff. Group Tour and Transfer: Columbia Icefield Adventure enroute to Jasper
Explore the picture-postcard glacial beauty of Jasper National Park on this leisurely tour. Pass scenic mountains as you drive along the famous Icefields Parkway to Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Center. Relish a hot buffet lunch at the center and then board an Ice Explorer for an interpretive adventure to the Athabasca Glacier. Enjoy the unique experience of walking on a glacier before you continue on to the Glacier Skywalk. Savor unobstructed views of the Canadian Rockies from the curved, glass-floored observation platform that extends 900 feet over Sunwapta Valley. You will be transferred from your hotel in Banff to your hotel in Jasper in a shuttle bus. Look forward to epic landscapes along the Icefields Parkway and to the en route Columbia Icefield Experience with the Glacier Skywalk and an Ice Explorer vehicle ride on the Athabasca Glacier. (total duration until you reach your hotel in Jasper: 10.5 hrs)

Jasper is a small and close-knit community that originated as a railway town. It lies in the heart of some of the most spectacular protected wilderness in the world. As a mountain town, it covers an expansive region of rugged backcountry trails and has always welcomed those who wish to venture beyond. Enjoy the breathtaking wilderness as you hike up one of the picturesque peaks and test your backcountry skills. Start at the Old Fort parking area and proceed for a 2.4-mile hike up a peak. En route, learn about the local flora and fauna, geology, and history of Jasper. At the heart of Jasper National Park lies one of the finest wonders of the Canadian Rockies – Maligne Lake. This glacier-fed lake with its aquamarine waters and magnificent backdrop of jagged peaks, is the largest in the park. This 90-minute cruise, in the comfort of a glass-covered centrally heated boat offers sensational views of the alpine scenery. A knowledgeable team of captain and guide will keep you thoroughly entertained with stories and facts of the area’s history, geology, glaciology, flora and fauna. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy sighting moose, grizzly bears and caribou that prowl the lakeshore. At Spirit Island in the center of the lake, disembark and take a short walk to a viewing platform where the craggy snow-capped peaks and forests that ring this picturesque lake provide a visual treat for expert and amateur photographers alike. From its origins as a fur hunting center of the early 19th century and its recent past as a hub of the country’s logging industry, Kamloops has now transformed into a tourist magnet.

This relaxing two-day trip will take you through western Canada from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to end at the coastal city of Vancouver, with an overnight stopover at Kamloops. Pass the stunning river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Look out for the Yellowhead Pass, Mount Robson and the Pyramid Falls.
