Located along the Botswana border and 20 kilometres from Gaborone, the reserve lies within a transition region between Lowveld bushveld and the Kalahari thornveld and is is host to an incredible diversity of species from both these ecosystems. The landscape inspire you with its unique mixture of vast plains of open grasslands and woodlands with rugged mountain ranges and rocky hills. You can easily spot a wide variety of animals here as the area offers ideal opportunities for game viewing.

Various private game reserves bordering or close to Kruger National Park offer excellent wildlife sightings and are ideal for those seeking exclusive, luxurious and diverse safari experiences. In addition to daily game drives, you can enjoy night game drives and exciting bush walks to discover the small wonders of nature. Many properties share their border with Kruger National Park and offers particularly spectacular wildlife viewing experiences from the comfort of your hotel, including leopard sightings in the riverine bush.

Enjoy exhilarating game in a private game reserve, or lace up your boots for a walk into the bushveld, all arranged by the lodge. Experience the thrill of riding through open savannah grasslands teeming with wildlife. The Reserve offers sightings of South Africa’s Big Five, your iconic African safari experience. Look out for prides of lions, solitary leopards, herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, as well as rhinos. Watch herds of wildebeest, impala and kudu run along the parklands, alongside your safari jeep. The bush walk experience in the company of your local guide is just as exciting. Expect to find flocks of birds and unique bush plants as you walk along the lake by the game lodge. If you’re lucky, you could catch the African fish eagle in action. Spot Cape starlings, jacanas, giant kingfishers, storks and herons along the lakefront. Londolozi Varty Camp: Game Drives and Bush Walks

Experience the beauty of the South African wilderness during game drives through the Londolozi Game Reserve. While staying at Londolozi Varty Camp, head out at sunrise in a 4WD vehicle with a tracker and ranger to witness the jungle come to life. Watch as they look for fresh animal tracks and expertly maneuver the vehicle across the rugged terrain to prime game viewing spots. You may see giraffes, rhinos as well as a variety of antelope. On late afternoon game drives that go past sunset, keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five including elephants and lions. On the way back to the lodge, use a spotlight to observe elusive nocturnal animals. You could also go on an adventurous guided bush walk to sight smaller fauna from a safe distance. Your expert guide will show you the little details that are easy to miss on a game drive and point out interesting insects and trees as you walk. A tropical treat! Surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the island country of Mauritius consists of two large and several small islands, the largest island being the capital, Port Louis. The tropical climate creates a rather pleasant temperature. If you find you want more than the heavenly white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of Belle Mare, Blue Bay and Baie du Tamarin then you can head to Black River Gorges National Park. This forested nature reserve offers spectacular scenery and unique plants. Or you can explore the botanical gardens of Pampelmousses, containing exotic plants, such as the talipot palm tree that blooms only once in 60 years.
