Petauke Trips

Take a day off from your long safari at sleepy Petauke. The town is located halfway between Lusaka and the Malawi border in the eastern side of Zambia. Petauke lies very close to both the remote North Luangwa National Park and the famous South Luangwa National Parks. The town makes for an ideal stop especially if you are traveling between Lusaka and the Luangwa Parks or Lilongwe. Petauke town is home to the local Nsenga people and most of the residents are farmers who produce cotton, sunflower, soya beans, groundnuts and many other crops in this agricultural region of Zambia.
