Ramathra Tours
Ramathra is perfectly tucked between two internationally renowned wildlife reserves, Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary and Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. This heritage town was a gift from the Maharaja of Karauli to his son, building him Ramathra Fort in the 17th century as a way of granting him freedom. Named after the Hindu Lord Rama, the fortress is perched on a hill brimming with parapets. Located within the deep valleys surrounding the fort is a wildlife adventure land, including deer, wolves and hyenas and, if you are lucky, a bear or leopard! The town has a strong bond, with daily community activities including the typical Bhajan (devotional) singing.
