Pleiku Trips

The capital of Vietnam’s Gia Lai Province in the Central Highlands, Pleiku sits at the crossroads of several national highways. The perfect enroute halt, the city’s strategic location makes it an ideal base for a number vacation destinations, such as Kon Tum to the north, Buôn Ma Thuột to the south and the Bình Định Province to the east. Travelling through the Ratanakiri Province, one can also reach Stœng Trêng in Cambodia, which lies westwards from Pleiku. This highland town is surrounded by the region’s plantation rich countryside and picturesque rice paddies cultivated in terraces along the verdant hillside. Some of the country’s best coffee is grown in the plantations around Pleiku. A fertile agricultural area, the region is also home to emerald tea plantations occasionally broken by plunging waterfalls and the vibrant local village settlements of the numerous ethnic highland communities of Vietnam.
